"🇧🇷 Foi no segundo andar de uma badalada galeria comercial de Lisboa que me apaixonei pela etiqueta de uma colher de pau. "Colher Oliveira Reciclada. Peça única feita a mão no Algarve e tratada ao azeite (sem solvente ou produto químico)". Era isso, impresso em três línguas em uma tag de papel pardo. Poucas, mas potentes palavras que me fizeram prender a respiração por alguns segundos. Foi como se, de repente, todo o meu anseio recente por mudar (ainda mais) minhas escolhas de consumo encontrasse uma bandeira. Reciclado, natural, artesanal, sem produtos químicos: estava tudo ali. Eu nem perguntei o preço. Para mim, aquela colher de pau tinha muito valor - os mesmos valores meus.

🇺🇸 It was on the second floor of a trendy commercial gallery in Lisbon that I fell in love with the label of a wooden spoon. "Oliveira Reciclada spoon: a single piece handmade in the Algarve and treated with olive oil (without solvent or chemical)". That was it, printed in three languages on a brown paper tag. A few powerful words that made me hold my breath for a few seconds. It was as if, all of a sudden, all my recent yearning to change (even more) my consumer choices found a flag. Recycled, natural, handmade, without chemicals: it was all there. I did not even ask the price: for me, that wooden spoon had a lot of value - my own values.
