In communion with nature, the garden of the farm is also part of an approach promoting observation, enhancing the environment.
The irrational exploitation of planetary resources causes global warming.
Casa Brava is part of a process that promotes biodiversity.
With the drought affecting the region and the weakening of natural springs, the farm is trying to recycle all of its water by keeping the most of rainwater and recycling "dirty" domestic water.
Our vegetables garden is certified organic.
"Permaculture" was created by Australian ecologists Bill Mollison and David Holmgren in the 1970s, relying on the nature-integrated lifestyle of Australia's traditional aboriginal communities.
"Permaculture is a philosophy of working with, not against, nature of prolonged and thoughtful observation at the place of prolonged and unthought work, and of looking at plants and animals in all their functions, rather than treating any area as a unique product system.
"The principles of permaculture come from Mollison's position" ... the only real ethical decision is to take responsibility for their own existence and that of their children. "
Work in Progress...
